Title:

What sport should i do after being forced to quit gymnastics due to injury?

I am 15 years old and a level 9 gymnast. The doctor told me I have to quit due to a stress fracture in my back that will not heal. I am allowed to do any besides and football.
I am interested in competitive sports such as ice skating.

If you want to stay in shape, then you could do something like xc-skiing so that you stay fit throughout the winter. It is a low impact sport, meaning it wont do much damage to any part of your body, unlike the stress that running or other sports put on your body.

Try pole vaulting! Gymnasts are naturals at it. You will catch on really quick and immediately be the best on your team, probably go to State and maybe even win. And if you can jump 12 or 13 feet (which most gymnasts can do easily, with a little practice), you can get a pole vaulting scholarship to any school you want. AND, it’s pretty fun! AND, the guys who do pole vaulting are always pretty hot! Give it a try!

Ice Skating is a good sport for a gymnast. It has a lot of the same things like balance, and technique.
Diving is a good sport many gymnasts have changed over to diving or swimming.
Pole vaulting is good too. In high school the track coach used to ask me regularly to join pole vaulting and I always had to say no because gymnastics was too much of a priority at the time. You may enjoy other events in track as well.

Good luck and I hope you find a sport that fits you!

You don’t have to mod oblivion you know. It’s not a require step. Just install the damned game and play it. The game didn’t win dozens of awards, game of the years and get amazing reviews *after it was modded*. All that acclaim came from the 360 version, which can’t be modded. So don’t worry about it, just play the game.

Well Kim was saying how these disturbing trends are going to affect the sport going forward into the future. But it's all about the fights. If good fights are made, the sport is healthy and all these disturbing trends are for not. It paints this bleak picture of the sport. But I'm just not buying it because with exception of one fight, every big fight that I have wanted to see over the last five years, I've seen. The sport is fine, if not in far better shape than it was pre-De la Hoya v. Trinidad.

Quit Cigarettes, Stop Smoking in 60 Minutes

  10. Sport = competition = wins & losses & achievement (from practice & play) & advancing in competition:

Sport = (Nw^2 + Nl) * Tp “In any occurrence of all positive variables”

But then I'm also thinking there must be a difference between competition and sport. Is hunting a sport? How about hunting for something not conscious… like diamonds? Seems to imply that there needs to be fans for it to be a sport. Therefore I would multiply the above equation also by a fan factor variable… make sure it also has a positive value.–>

I guess I agree with y'all. They did flirt a lot…which was weird. And, I grew up doing gymnastics and then I coached and judged gymnastics for a few years. So, I guess when I watch gymnastics, I don't like the commentators to say too much, since I already know the names of the skills and whatnot.

I think I probably just liked John and Tasha because I grew up watching them compete. Elfi and Tim competed before my time…and they seem to still live in that era of gymnastics.

My my ! What injury? You have inherited Mom's persistance, thank goodness! Thanks for being so tenacious and enlightening us on the historical and modern days of Egypt and Lebanon. This keyhole view has made me realize how much I miss traveling and how little of the world we explore. Have Fun! Miss you Lil' sis! The ankle injury was definately a “Gomez thing” lol. xx
