Flying Car – The Maverick

The “Maverick” is what it’s name implies – it is a maverick transportation system, a car that anyone who can drive, can fly – in just hours. -Road legal -LSA testing complete -Flies like a car – (intuitive integrated controls work on ground and in flight) -Interstate speeds on road -Robust suspension for ‘off roading’ -Float capable -Dual drive (transaxle or propeller) -Proprietary mast and spar system make crosswind operations possible The Maverick is the result of 6 years of research and development by the Indigenous People’s Technology and Education center, a non profit organization. The primary objective is humanitarian use in frontier areas of the world. Developing a commercial market will help reduce cost in frontier use. Looks really cool wouldn’t mind having one of those. How long can it stay in the air for? and as soon as you go back to the ground you have to stop the vehicle and fold up the parachute?

    I’ve heard worse music, but really now, this video shouldn’t need a power-driving drum beat accompaniment. I really hate the trend that seems to say YouTube videos are nothing without a loud bass beat soundtrack.

    I hope that people from the Top Gear TV show know about this car. It seems perfect for one of their challenges, or at least a review segment. One of the hosts, James May, already has a small-aircraft license, so he seems like a good fit.

    The blades are booted with sleeves and of course not spinning in drive mode.

    @t3h5h3ep
    You need a drivers license for the road and at least a light sport powered parachute rating for the air.

    Thank you. It was a poignant yet wonderful flying dream. I was levitating upwards into the sky in my lover's embrace. There were bells clanging in the sky, the air was scented with plumeria and summer rain, and I was scared and excited at the same time. There is nothing in this world that will ever approximate the feeling of flying high like that. Nothing.

    Lucy is her name. Often shortened to Luc (loose), which has turned into Goose. Which works well with the other dog on the house, Maverick.

    WB are making money selling the rights to the series to networks like Fox Classics and The Western Channel. Perhaps keeping the show off DVD is part of their agreement with various networks. It's hard to believe that Maverick won't eventually be released on DVD, though.

    yes
    A maverick was an unbranded animal found on the open range. It is believed that the term originated with a Texas lawyer named Colonel Samuel Maverick. He purchased a herd of cattle but failed to ensure that they were branded. As a result unbranded cattle became known as mavericks

    Your statistics are wrong, as was Obama, who you are quoting.

    McCain has voted with the Republican Party 88.3% of the time over his entire career.

    OBAMA on the other hand has voted with the Democratic Party 96.4% of the time in his very short career.

    Yes, McCain is very much a Maverick, put down Obama's rhetoric and pick up a history book.
