They do know what it needs to get to that speed with their work, and now they’re trying to apply that knowledge to a road legal production vehicle. That’s the whole idea of moving forward with the project. It’s ambitious, but that’s the whole idea.

Land vehicles and road cars are different animals. The former is not street legal. Bugatti struggled to produce a road car stable at 250 mph with all amenities while having to pass reliability test , be easy to drive. Those points are missing for all Bugatti Veyron contenders which only focus on speed. Add to the equation brake, traction, stability, safety, Transtar is already in hot water.
